Basics Burger
Serving Size:4|Prep Time:20minutes|Cook Time:30minutes

Directions
To prepare the burgers:
  1. Add the neutral oil to a heavy skillet or brush onto grill grate. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat until the pan begins to smoke. If using a grill, heat to medium high. Season beef patties with salt and pepper, then place, seasoned side down, in skillet or on top of grill. Using the back of a metal spatula, press down on beef patties. Cook to form a caramelized crust, about 2 – 3 minutes.
  2. Flip the patties. Top each patty with 1 slice cheese. Cook until cheese is melted, about 1 minute for medium-rare to medium, longer if you like well-done.
  3. Brush buns with butter, then place under broiler, in toaster oven or toast butter side down in a clean saute pan. Toast until golden brown, about 1 minute.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of sauce on top half of each bun. Place a patty on bottom bun and top with 1 leaf lettuce and 2 slices of tomato.
To prepare the sauce:
  1. Combine all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.
