Directions
Method #1
  1. Boil enough water to cover eggs by at least one inch in a pot large enough to accommodate the number of eggs being cooked.
  2. Carefully place eggs into rapidly boiling water and allow to cook for eleven minutes.
  3. Remove eggs and place in a bowl of ice water or in a bowl under cold running water for five minutes.
  4. Peel eggs when cool or leave in shell in refrigerator for future use. Hard boiled eggs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Write the date on the shell to ensure freshness.
Method #2
  1. Place desired number of eggs in a pot large enough to accommodate them.
  2. Add enough water to the pot to cover the eggs by at least one inch. Bring the pot of water and eggs to a boil then turn the heat off.
  3. Cover the pot and allow it to sit for ten minutes.
  4. After ten minutes carefully remove the eggs into a bowl of ice water or to a bowl placed under cold running water for five minutes.
  5. Peel eggs when cool or leave in shell in refrigerator for future use. Hard boiled eggs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Write the date on the shell to ensure freshness.
