Grandma's Calico Beans

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound bacon
  • 1 pound Silver Sage Farms™ ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, unpacked
  • 1 teasoon salt
  • 1 15 ounce can lima beans, drained
  • 1 15 ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 15 ounce can pork and beans

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF
  2. Brown bacon, beef and onions.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients. Stir.
  4. Place in covered casserole dish and bake for 1 ½ hours.

Use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. If you don’t like lima beans (but they are great in this recipe), use extra kidney or any kind of canned bean instead. You can use frozen limas, no need to thaw, just throw them in.
